Invisalign®
Clear Aligners
Invisalign aligners are a simple and effective alternative to braces, offering many of the same benefits.
Invisalign® – a custom-molded set of transparent, removable aligners – will progressively reposition your teeth. You can simply remove the aligners before eating, brushing, flossing, or special occasions. This technology is more comfortable and convenient than traditional braces.

What Conditions Do Invisalign Aligners Treat?
Invisalign isn’t just for cosmetic improvements—it’s a powerful orthodontic tool capable of treating a variety of bite and alignment issues. Dr. Daniel Nagler uses Invisalign to address:
Crowded teeth – When there’s not enough room in the jaw, teeth can overlap or twist.
Overbite – The upper front teeth overlap significantly with the lower teeth.
Underbite – The lower teeth protrude past the upper front teeth.
Gapped teeth – Spaces between teeth can make your smile uneven and increase the risk of gum problems.
Crossbite – Some upper teeth sit inside the lower teeth, potentially damaging enamel and gums.
Open bite – The top and bottom teeth don’t touch when the mouth is closed, making biting and chewing difficult.
How Does Invisalign Treatment Work?
The Invisalign process starts with a consultation and digital scan at Kendall iSmile. We use advanced 3D imaging to map out your current bite and design a precise plan for how each tooth should move. Based on this plan, a series of aligners will be custom-fabricated just for you.
- Wear your aligners: You’ll wear each set of aligners for about 1 to 2 weeks, for 20 to 22 hours per day.
- Progressively straighten your teeth: Each new set gradually moves your teeth closer to their ideal positions.
- Routine check-ins: Every 6 to 8 weeks, you’ll visit Dr. Nagler to monitor your progress and receive your next series of trays.
- Maintain your results: Once treatment is complete, you’ll wear retainers to keep your new smile in place.
Invisalign aligners are easy to care for—just rinse and brush them daily, and store them safely when not in use. Because they’re removable, you can continue enjoying all your favorite foods and activities without worry.

Invisalign® FAQ's
What is Invisalign® Treatment?
It is the process of wearing a series of clear, removable aligners that gradually straighten your teeth. There are no brackets, wires or restrictions that come with metal braces.
Invisalign® vs Braces
It is the process of wearing a series of clear, removable aligners that gradually straighten your teeth. There are no brackets, wires or restrictions that come with metal braces.
Who can use Invisalign®?
Invisalign® treatment can be a great solution for both adults and teens looking for a virtually invisible method to improve their smile. Invisalign’s innovations and technological advancements make it possible to fix nearly all common teeth-straightening and bite issues, from simple to complex — all without interrupting your busy life.
What are the benefits of Invisalign®?
Invisalign® is much more than a pretty smile. Crowded teeth are more difficult to clean causing build-up of plaque that causes gingivitis, and may lead to bone loss and periodontal disease.
Invisalign® aligns teeth, improves periodontal hygiene, results in easier teeth cleanings and is non-invasive.
How long do I wear Invisalign®?
Treatment typically takes 6-24 months.
During your treatment, you’ll have regular check-ins with your dentist. Other than that, you just wear your liners 20-22 hours per day and the rest of your life proceeds normally!
Does Invisalign® treatment hurt?
During the first day that you use each set of Invisalign® aligners, you may feel some discomfort. Don’t worry, that’s normal. That’s because the aligner is gently moving your teeth. In most cases, the discomfort passes within the first day.
How Do I Get Invisalign®?
The first step is a consultation with your dentist.
If we determine Invisalign® is a good option for you, we take custom impressions, x-rays and photographic images of your teeth. Invisalign® uses these impressions and pictures to create a 3-D image of them, which your dentist and Invisalign® use to map out a precise progress plan.
This plan is used to create a completely custom set of liners, changed every two weeks.
Is It Covered by Insurance?
Yes!
Most dental insurance covers at least a portion of Invisalign® treatment. Because each patient receives their own customized aligners, the cost can vary significantly.
Staff members at iSmile will discuss the costs of your treatment before it begins, to ensure you have the knowledge you need to make this life-improving decision.
Gold Invisalign Provider
To help patients easily identify dentists who have invested time and training in Invisalign technology, Invisalign developed a provider level system. Dentists who have treated a smaller number of Invisalign cases are recognized as Bronze Providers, while those with greater experience advance to Silver and Gold status. Higher provider levels reflect increased hands-on expertise and indicate that these dentists have helped hundreds of patients achieve beautifully aligned smiles with reliable, long-lasting results using Invisalign.
Gables iSmile, Miami iSmile, Kendall iSmile, and Lauderdale iSmile are proud to be Gold Invisalign Providers, a distinction that highlights their commitment to experience-driven care, precise treatment planning, and consistently successful Invisalign outcomes for patients across South Florida.
The first advantage of choosing an Invisalign Gold Provider is that you can trust the dentist has received extensive training focused on this specific treatment. They also have countless hours of real-world experience, helping people correct a wide variety of orthodontic issues ranging from minor crookedness to misaligned bites. Thanks to this experience, they’re able to help more patients using Invisalign, whereas a less experienced dentist might force a patient to wear metal braces if a problem seems “too complicated.” Gold Providers know how to achieve the desired results with the smallest number of trays possible, which can make the treatment much faster and more affordable.
We Are Using
iTero® Dental Impressions
At Kendall iSmile, we prioritize patient comfort and precision in every aspect of dental care. That’s why we utilize the iTero® Intraoral Scanner, an advanced digital imaging system that replaces traditional impression methods with a faster, more accurate, and more comfortable experience. Instead of using messy impression trays and materials that often cause discomfort or gagging, the iTero® scanner captures a highly detailed 3D digital image of a patient’s teeth and bite in just a few minutes.
Dental impressions are crucial in planning orthodontic treatments, such as Invisalign, braces, or retainers. Historically, this process required patients to bite into metal trays filled with viscous material that would harden into a mold, often resulting in an unpleasant and inaccurate experience. The iTero® scanner eliminates these issues by using parallel confocal scanning technology, which captures over 100,000 laser points in sharp focus to create a precise, interactive model of the teeth and gum line.
By integrating iTero® technology into our practice, Kendall iSmile can enhance diagnostic accuracy, reduce the need for repeat appointments, and improve overall patient education through visual digital models. This innovative approach not only streamlines the treatment planning process but also ensures greater comfort and confidence for our patients. If you are considering Invisalign® or other orthodontic solutions, we encourage you to contact Kendall iSmile today to schedule a consultation and experience the benefits of digital impressions.
